While passing through the area, we tried to eat at The Dough Company, but didn't feel like waiting 15-20 minutes after a long day's drive. Seeing Bettelli's next door, we impulsively decided to try it, despite the parking lot being nearly empty. We should have left as soon as we caught a whiff of the vile stench of this place. Seriously, this place was truly disgusting. We changed our order to takeout, and got out of there ASAP. bad bad pizza, lesson learned, it is far better to wait at a crowded place than to pioneer a desolate one..

Excellent Italian cuisine and the best square pizza in town. Best rack of lamb I've had east of the Mississippi! Friendly and cooperative folks doing a great job.

The pizza was great but the 45 minute wait did not justify the quality of the pasta. Sup par wait staff.

Great place. Great food. Their red sauce is amazing. Their veal Marsalis one of my favorites -- including NYC and beyond. This is my o-to place I live it here. Everyone involved puts out their best. If it is available, try the tiramisu. Incredible! I think this mat become your "place" after you've been here.

Looking for some well cooked, traditional Italian fare? Stop in! You will get homey service in an aging decor, a full, proper Italian menu, and an individually prepared, simple meal from fresh ingredients. I am simple when it comes to Italian food. I *always* try spaghetti marinara on my first visit to an Italian restaurant. Since the gravy (marinara) is the key to everything else (almost), I can learn all I need to know from this simple dish. Now I think al dente noodles are ridiculous. Something dreamed up by some gourmand who hopes to seem impressive by eating food that gets stuck in his teeth. Nevertheless there is a definite firmness that I look for in pasta, but no stickiness. The starch needs to be express from the noodles. If I am cooking noodles myself, I look for the head to form in the pasta pot. I have had a dozen or more good Italian chefs tell me the same thing. At this stage the noodles are invariably beyond al dente, but are still firm. In other words-perfect. That is the way my noodles arrived. The gravy itself was dense and had a strong texture. Not runny and watery like those pseudo-Italian chains serve it. The sauce was not too acidic yet still tangy. The garlic bread was cut and toasted garlic bread with butter and olive oil and crushed garlic. Fresh parsley rounded out the pasta. Parsley is not a garnish. It belongs there. Eat it! As I said the service was excellent, friendly, attentive, unobtrusive. I will be eating there again my next visit to W-B. I look forward to it.

The best pizza in the area of the country known for the best pizza anywhere. No exaggeration! It's crust and sauce are both unique. We've been getting our once-a-week "fix" since 1961.

I've been to Bettelli's numerous times through the past ten years or so (both take-out and dine-in). The pizza is amazing. Again: the pizza is amazing. It's not a traditional round pie, but is cut in rectangles. In addition, the pasta dishes are also very good. Neither I nor my dining-companions have had a bad meal here. Service has also been top notch. The dining room is pretty quiet (even when it's busy), so it's not the best place for an intimate conversation - unless you're off in a corner.

I'm giving Bettelli's 5 stars for the pizza. I'm old enough to remember the incredible Pizza Casa on Public Square, and it is amazing to be able to enjoy the same unique and delicious pizza as an adult. I've brought countless guests here to sample it, and everyone agrees: it is the best! Real chunky tomatoes in the sauce, flavorful cheese, and a crust that's halfway between regular and Sicilian, crunchy and slightly charred on the bottom. Thank you for continuing to make what I consider the most fantastic pizza on the planet!
